Mystery Box

Many of my experimental fragrances are passed to a small, private circle of perfumers. Often, these are expressions of unrefined, raw creativity that prioritize novelty and texture over the typical virtues of a perfume. As a “thank you” for supporting my work, quarterly subscribers will receive more than a dozen 1ml+ bottles of these unusual experiments.

Many of these boxes will have themes or rules such as “walk through chemical structure space,” “walk through frequency space,” “walk through color-association space,” or “every subsequent bottle has exactly one ingredient in common with the prior, and none in common with the others.” Such rules are elaborated in private calls, which are available by email. 

All of the bottles provided in the mystery box are experimental and sold as fragrance art– not perfume. Skin safety is not verified. In rare cases, the color of the liquid is yellow or brown. This indicates that the mixture uses a rare odorant that is not found in perfumery (for obvious reasons). This liquid is not skin-hazardous, but will likely stain anything it touches. Take care! If you wish to apply a sample to your skin, please test on strips first, and then apply to a small area of skin. Wash if irritated. If you order a sample upgrade that you wish to wear, please make sure I know it is for perfume use, as there may be easy modifications to the recipe to make it wearable.
